Recognize this man? Probably not, but if you served in Vietnam you undoubtedly would recognize something he was the main designer of: The C-130 Hercules - the cargo/military transport aircraft that remained in production for 50 years and "...was crucial to many missions during the Vietnam War". The photo below is of a C-130 landing at Quan Loi Airfield in 1967 carrying a replacement tube for one of Alpha Battery's guns.
