Why You Should Attend the 2010 Reunion in Las Vegas!

Okay, we know times are hard and you are worried about the economy and you have thought of many good reasons why you are not sure if you are going to attend the 2010 - 6/27th Artillery Reunion in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 15 & 16th, but give it just a little more thought.

If you truly can not afford to attend the Reunion this year, we understand, and we will miss you - Enough said, but if you are just vacillating for no particular reason, that is another matter.

This could be your last opportunity to attend a Reunion.  We are all getting older and you know what that means - our health is, or will start to create problems of such, that travelling will no longer be an option.  If you have never attended any of the previous Reunions you should consider that no one can share your memories of your time in Vietnam like another 6/27th Arty Vet.  You don't have to explain your experiences - we were there and we know what you are talking about.  You will be surprised the bond of that sharing experience can bring.  The comradery that has developed at previous Reunions is hard to describe.  Many life-long friendships have been made or renewed among Cannon Kings attending past Reunions and we expect that will be the case again in 2010.

Some Cannon Kings have attended all four previous Reunions and have already registered for the 2010 Las Vegas Reunion.  We also have some vets and spouses registered who have never attended.  We assure you, you will be welcomed as true comrades in arms if this is your first reunion.

Las Vegas is a one of kind place.  If you have never visited or if it has been many years since your last visit you will be amazed by the city.  Nowhere else can you travel to a place and be in Paris, Rome, New York, Venice, Luxor, Hollywood or Monte Carlo at the same time and the same place.  With great restaurants from Emeril to Wolfgang Puck's to a host of all-you-can-eat buffets, you will not go hungry for long in Vegas.

Great entertainment and shows await you in Vegas from Headliner Shows like Cher & Manilow to large Productions like the Cirque de Soleil's Beatles - Love.  In addition, there are Comedy as well as Tribute shows.

If you are into gambling - We don't have to tell you about Vegas, but if you are not, there are many other attractions in Las Vegas - many free or reasonably priced.

For things to do outside Las Vegas there is Hoover Dam, the Atomic Testing Museum and the Nevada State Railroad Museum and many more.  If you have more time and want an extended vacation visit the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon National Park or Zion National Park.

If we are beginning to sound like the Las Vegas Tourist Authority, we apologize, but we want you to think about attending this years Reunion in Las Vegas.  If you are not close enough to drive to Las Vegas, many of the airlines are offering very attractive air fares.  We have negotiated some great rates at the Flamingo Hotel ($50.00 per night + taxes) in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, but you can stay at any hotel you like.

As with previous Reunions we have not planned any meetings, parades or patriotic doings at this Reunion - There are plenty of other functions where you can take part in such things.  The 6/27th Artillery Vietnam Veterans 2010 Reunion is all about memories and renewal of friendships.  It is a time to honor the 6/27th Comrades who were not as fortunate as all of us and lost their lives in Vietnam.

We hope you will consider attending the 2010 Las Vegas Reunion on September 15 & 16.  Click here for information about booking a room at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino as well as registration and fees for the Reunion and an Agenda.   The deadline for Flamingo Hotel reduced rates and Reunion Registration is August 1, 2010.  You still have time to plan your travel and register for the Reunion.  Just Get Busy And Do It Right Now!
