Tower Views of Quan Loi

Many thanks to Mike Kramer for these photos.  He writes:  "I was with HHC 3rd Brigade 1st Air Cavalry Division. I was in Communications and served from March 70 to March 71. I was located at Quan Loi first and I think then to FSB Nancy, Buttons and Mace in that order."

"I climbed the tower several times to inspect for damage and to check for antenna problems. As I recall it was 180 feet tall. It was a scaffold tower with stair steps on the inside. It had a railing on the inside of the steps which I was able to use to slide down. I made it down the tower at a record setting pace one day when I realized I had become someone's target.  I never saw anyone else on the tower."  All photos in this section taken by Mike Kramer - July 1970.  Click the Red Dot to proceed.
