Contact team chief mid '67. Primary responsibility, keep the guns firing. Why did the 175's always reach their tube life @ 0300 hrs after a night of one too many at the "club"? Great site!

I contacted you about being with 6/27 in OIF I. I just wanted to tell you I haven't forgotten. I recently returned from JRTC only to leave again for somewhere else. Now I am in AL. Anyway, I still want to get this info to you but currently I am running low on time and I am in fact about to go back to Iraq. I will still do my best to get you that data and more info as to our mission and what we did.

Nice to see this web page. I guess I was a relative newcomer to 6/27th. I went through the downsizing and was never short enough to get a drop. My C Btry time was at Loc Ninh, Song Be, An Loc and then deactivation and on to Svc Btry. I visited with 6/27th at Ft Sill in 1990 while there for annual training with the Kentucky National Guard.

This is my first trip to the site. Read a book called "Up Country" and it got interest for me to revisit my Vietnam past. I was a 2nd Lt. FDC off. for most of my tour but ended it as an Air Forward observer from Bu Dop when we went into Cambodia. Have read the C Battery info with great interest. Didn't know guys there although there was an officer in C battery that graduated from OCS (class 17-69) with me. I think his name was Lockhart. I recall being sent to Quan Loi for a week once until they got a new FDC officer, then I returned to C Btry. Hope to hear from others in C.
