Great site, I was with the Quan Loi Arty section in HHB 6/27th. I worked with "Tango Hotel" for several months until he rotated. When HHB pulled back to Phou Loi, I went TDY to the 11th ACR. Glad to see a site from the 6/27th. Randy Davis

12 Aug '69. I was LT in charge of the green line directly in front of your 175's. We kept them out of your perimeter, barely--tough night. Thanks for shooting for us grunts.Barron 2-6

I am not sure about the "A" Battery. I was an aerial observer for an 8"/175mm composite Battery of the 6/27 FA at Quan Loi which supported a Brigade of the 1st Infantry Div. I was a 2nd LT and was assigned to a Vietnamese Ranger company as a forward observer in June of 68. When I returned 63 days later the Battery had moved and I was reassigned. I never returned to Quan Loi. I do however have some great pictures of the HHB area and the air strip. Thanks, Tom Sheehy, Major, retired

Was contacted by Lester Higa. I joined C btry at Loc Nihn when A btry moved to Bu Dop. I think the one tree at Loc Nihn was still there when we left ( in spite of everything flying around it.) This is a great website and well maintained. will encourage all our guys from 27th to visit.

When I first arrived "in country" A-Battery was right next to Service Battery on the outskirts of the Bien Hoa air base. So though I wasn't assigned to A-Battery I always felt closer to them than the rest of the battalion. We helped move A-Battery to Bear Cat(I think) in June of 66. Later on maybe in January of 67 we(Service Battery) helped A-Battery again move to An Loc. The "swimming pool" in the middle of nowhere will always be a strange memory. Best wishes to everyone who served in the 6/27th. Larry Kantroski
Hello, I was posted at Quan Loi along with 11 other MP's from the II Field Force Command in June of 1969. Our team was attached to the H&H regiment and we provided all the Convoy, Village and Post patrol in and around LZ Andy. I really enjoyed looking at the Photos and do remember getting around to your neck of the woods. My team was Bunked very close to the "White House" on the other end of the Compound. Of the 11 MP"S that were with me, 10 were wounded in action. As a SGT. it was increasinly difficult to recruit more MP's out to Quan Loi from our Headquarters back at II FF. Best regards to all. Ron Serrano
i was at quan loi from dec 67 to dec 68 as an infantryman. al martin told me about this site, brings back a lot of old memories, especially the swimming pool. we usually set up our ndp in that area, swam in the pool a few times at night. thanks to al martin for the info about the site. harold w. defibaugh
